  • 26 September 2024
  • Betahaus, Berlin
Announcement of the Betahaus Breakfast on 26 September, 10:00, at Café Fragil Royal with Alexis Bastos (RioTerra), Nick Oakes (Impact Earth) and Priscila Terenzi (Ka’a Harmony)

Betahaus is Berlin's pioneering coworking space and startup hub, where their weekly betabreakfast tradition has been connecting entrepreneurs, startups, creatives, and innovators in the Berlin startup scene for over 10 years. This vibrant networking event serves as a platform where collaborations are born, partnerships are formed, and ideas come to life over breakfast.

Ka'a Harmony brought the Amazon to Berlin's startup ecosystem through a special Q&A session led by Priscila, founder of Ka'a Harmony Foundation, alongside Alexis Bastos, founder of RioTerra (a Brazilian agroforestry NGO), and Nick Oakes, co-founder and managing director of Impact Earth. The discussion centered on challenges and solutions in the Amazon rainforest, creating a dynamic dialogue between an impact investor who funds multiple Amazon projects and the grassroots organizations working directly in the region.

The event highlighted a crucial perspective often overlooked in environmental discussions: the Amazon as a hub for innovation and impact investing. Through the conversation between Nick, who works with several rainforest projects including RioTerra, and the on-ground practitioners, attendees gained insight into how sustainable development and entrepreneurship intersect in one of the world's most vital ecosystems.

For Ka'a Harmony, participating in Berlin's established startup community represents an important step in demonstrating that environmental conservation and business innovation go hand in hand, inspiring entrepreneurs to consider how their ventures can contribute to global sustainability while supporting Amazonian communities.
